Friends for 40 years, we have shared many fabulous adventures and weathered more than a few storms together. We have lost beloved family and friends to cancer, including Dawn’s father David in 2022 following a courageous battle.
Earlier last year when we were travelling in Japan on a holiday to see the snow monkeys, a guy on our bus told us his story and how he was going in the Autumn 2025 Shitbox Rally to raise money to support cancer research. He was excited about the fundraising challenge and the adventure. This struck a chord with us and we decided that, together, we could honour those who we have lost, and those who are fighting or have won the battle against cancer by entering the Rally.
So we are thrilled to announce that we're taking part in the Autumn Shitbox Rally 2026 - originally scheduled to start in May but postponed to 11 July due to the impacts of the war in the Middle East.
We are always up for a good adventure, and this will certainly be one. We’ll be hitting the road in our $1,500 Shitbox driving from Port Douglas to Melbourne on a fabulous 7-day journey, full of not so fast dirt roads.
Fast and Fabulous are one of just a handful of all women teams participating in the Autumn Rally!
We hope you will join our fundraising efforts or consider sponsoring our team - it’s about making a real difference in the fight against cancer.
Every participating team is required to raise a minimum of $5,000. Every dollar raised goes directly to Cancer Council and helps fund vital cancer research. Your support, whether big or small, will have a real impact.

Shitbox Rally is a 7-day challenge like no other. Participants drive cars worth no more than $1,500 through some of Australia's most stunning (and often rugged) landscapes, all in support of cancer research. It's not a race — it's a challenge and more importantly, a celebration of the power of community.
Yes, the cars break down, and yes, there are plenty of unexpected twists along the way, but that's all part of the fun.
The rally is designed to be a colourful and unpredictable experience, where teams travel in small groups, helping each other along the way.
And when the day's drive ends, we gather around the campfire, share stories, and reflect on the day's achievements.
This event brings together people who have been impacted by cancer in different ways — whether it's through their own battles or through loved ones. Together we'll make memories that last a lifetime while supporting the fight against cancer.
