Next May, we’re trading comfort for chaos — all for a cause that truly matters.
We’re Team Kinda Fast Sorta Furious, and we’re taking on the legendary Shitbox Rally in our freshly acquired masterpiece: a 1997 Ford Laser. Yes, you read that right. A 97 Laser. An absolute icon of mediocre, budget small cars of the late 90's.
We’ll be driving from Port Douglas to Melbourne — thousands of kilometers across some of Australia’s most unforgiving terrain — in a car that was considered average even in the late 90's. Now? It’s a mechanical time capsule held together by optimism, zip ties, and blind faith.
Why?
Because every dollar we raise goes directly to Cancer Council, funding life-saving cancer research and support services.Like so many others, we’ve all been touched by cancer — family, mates, colleagues. This is our way of fighting back… in the most ridiculous, dust-covered, questionably reliable way possible.
Our Goal
We need to raise a minimum of $5,000 to hit the start line, but we’re aiming for $7,500 to make an even bigger impact.
We’re risking our spines, sanity, and whatever dignity a ’97 Laser leaves us with — all so others can have hope.
We may be kinda fast and sorta furious… but we’re 100% serious about making a difference.

Shitbox Rally is a 7-day challenge like no other. Participants drive cars worth no more than $1,500 through some of Australia's most stunning (and often rugged) landscapes, all in support of cancer research. It's not a race — it's a challenge and more importantly, a celebration of the power of community.
Yes, the cars break down, and yes, there are plenty of unexpected twists along the way, but that's all part of the fun.
The rally is designed to be a colourful and unpredictable experience, where teams travel in small groups, helping each other along the way.
And when the day's drive ends, we gather around the campfire, share stories, and reflect on the day's achievements.
This event brings together people who have been impacted by cancer in different ways — whether it's through their own battles or through loved ones. Together we'll make memories that last a lifetime while supporting the fight against cancer.
