Gday,
We are Trey and Daniel otherwise known as The Mad Chef & Full Send Franks.
Sir Lazerus shall be taking us on a second trip with the Shitbox Rally 2026 - Autumn! We’ll be hitting the road and driving from Port Douglas to Melbourne.
My name is Trey Kovacic (The Madd Chef).
My earliest memory of losing a family member was my great-grandmother (Nanna Pumpkin), who died of bowel cancer. Around the age of 11, my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer and fought for years, trying different trial medications and chemotherapy. I thank my mother for every bit of pain she endured to still be here with us today.
At the age of 14, my father was diagnosed with rectal bowel cancer, with a tumor the size of a rock melon. My father spent three years at home extremely sick before he was finally tested, largely due to mental health issues. He survived the operation to remove the tumor but was fitted with a colostomy bag that could never be reversed. Three years later, at the age of 18, my father succumbed to cancer. One month before he died, I was diagnosed with a calcified meningioma on my frontal lobe. That was one of the hardest times of my life, but I stayed positive and strong. The mass has not been found in scans for the last three years.
My name is Daniel but most people call me franksy or otherwise known as full send franks.
I am super excited to be a part of this rally with a great mate to raise money for the cancer council and have some fun along the way while doing so.
Cancer has struck my life heaps having my nan pass away from bowel cancer about 6 years ago now. Was so hard to see someone so full off life having her waste away to nothing and be taken away from us. I have had my pop on my other side off the family effected by prostate cancer which has come back a couple off times, we are in the clear for now but it still plays a toll in the back off our family's mind.
I have had numerous friends, family friends and people off our community effected by cancer which is absolutely heartbreaking to see.
I am hoping we can raise money to get much needed resources for the terrible thing they call cancer.
Keen to get amongst the rally and meet new people for a good cause.
I also want to give credit to the Alphablokes Podcast. I am an avid listener, and I couldn’t resist using the name of their racehorse for our team, as they have done so much for me personally in helping to clear the mental noise for men.
On this journey, we hope to raise $10,000 or more. We also want to use this trip to promote men's mental health, as it was a massive factor in my fight and my father's as well.
This trip means the world to us as two mates giving something back and going on an adventure for our personal mental health. You may not know us yet, but you will
These funds go to the Cancer Council, and we are extremely proud to do our part to support such a worthy charity. Fundraising is the hard part, so any donation you can give is greatly appreciated.

They're doing what!?
Shitbox Rally is a 7-day challenge like no other. Participants drive cars worth no more than $1,500 through some of Australia's most stunning (and often rugged) landscapes, all in support of cancer research. It's not a race — it's a challenge and more importantly, a celebration of the power of community.
Yes, the cars break down, and yes, there are plenty of unexpected twists along the way, but that's all part of the fun.
The rally is designed to be a colourful and unpredictable experience, where teams travel in small groups, helping each other along the way.
And when the day's drive ends, we gather around the campfire, share stories, and reflect on the day's achievements.
This event brings together people who have been impacted by cancer in different ways — whether it's through their own battles or through loved ones. Together we'll make memories that last a lifetime while supporting the fight against cancer.
Donate NowEvery rally. Every dollar.
Directly to Cancer Council.
Box Rallies is the largest funder of cancer research in Australia — outside of the government. Every dollar supports Cancer Council.
