We’re ridiculously excited (and possibly a little bit concerned for our safety) to announce that we’re taking part in Shitbox Rally 2026 – Autumn! 🚗💨 This May we’ll be jumping into our glorious $1,500-or-less Shitbox and setting off on a 9-day adventure from Port Douglas to Melbourne.
That’s thousands of kilometres of questionable roads, suspicious engine noises, outback towns, dusty tracks, and hopefully only a moderate amount of roadside problem-solving. But while the car might be a bit of a disaster, the cause definitely isn’t. Every team in the rally raises money for the Cancer Council, with a minimum fundraising goal of $5,000. The best part? Every single dollar raised goes directly to cancer research, helping fund life-saving research and support services for people affected by cancer.
That’s the real reason we’re doing this.So while we’ll be out there rattling across Australia in a car that probably shouldn’t legally exist, we’re doing it to help make a genuine difference.We’re a pretty goofy pair taking on a slightly ridiculous challenge, and we’d love your support. Whether it’s a donation, a cheer from the sidelines, or just a laugh at the thought of us attempting this journey, it all helps.

Shitbox Rally is a 7-day challenge like no other. Participants drive cars worth no more than $1,500 through some of Australia's most stunning (and often rugged) landscapes, all in support of cancer research. It's not a race — it's a challenge and more importantly, a celebration of the power of community.
Yes, the cars break down, and yes, there are plenty of unexpected twists along the way, but that's all part of the fun.
The rally is designed to be a colourful and unpredictable experience, where teams travel in small groups, helping each other along the way.
And when the day's drive ends, we gather around the campfire, share stories, and reflect on the day's achievements.
This event brings together people who have been impacted by cancer in different ways — whether it's through their own battles or through loved ones. Together we'll make memories that last a lifetime while supporting the fight against cancer.
