We’re so excited to share that Trent and Akka from Busselton Automotive Repairs will be taking part in the Shitbox Rally Autumn 2026 - a wild, dusty, and downright unforgettable adventure that raises vital funds for the Cancer Council.
In true rally spirit, we’ll be hitting the road in a $1,500 (or less!) Shitbox XG Falcon ute, taking on the massive journey from Port Douglas to Melbourne over seven days. But before we can even hit the start line, we’ve got to get this old bunk of a ute ready to survive the trek from Busselton, WA all the way to Far North Queensland!
For us, this rally is about more than just the drive, it’s personal. Earlier this year, one of our team members lost their partner to cancer, and right now, Trent’s brother-in-law is bravely battling brain cancer. Like so many families, we’ve seen first-hand how devastating this disease can be, and we want to do something that helps make a difference.
Every participating team is required to raise a minimum of $5,000, with every dollar going directly to the Cancer Council to fund vital cancer research and support services. That’s why we’re running raffles, sponsorships, and community fundraisers between now and May 2026 – doing everything we can to hit (and hopefully exceed!) our goal.
Your support - whether it’s a donation, a raffle ticket, or simply sharing our story, helps us drive change (and a very questionable ute) across Australia for an incredible cause.
🚗💛 Thank you for helping us make every kilometre count.

They're doing what!?
Shitbox Rally is a 7-day challenge like no other. Participants drive cars worth no more than $1,500 through some of Australia's most stunning (and often rugged) landscapes, all in support of cancer research. It's not a race — it's a challenge and more importantly, a celebration of the power of community.
Yes, the cars break down, and yes, there are plenty of unexpected twists along the way, but that's all part of the fun.
The rally is designed to be a colourful and unpredictable experience, where teams travel in small groups, helping each other along the way.
And when the day's drive ends, we gather around the campfire, share stories, and reflect on the day's achievements.
This event brings together people who have been impacted by cancer in different ways — whether it's through their own battles or through loved ones. Together we'll make memories that last a lifetime while supporting the fight against cancer.
Donate NowEvery rally. Every dollar.
